Our Services

We focus on diagnosing and treating vein conditions affecting both the legs and hands, including varicose veins, spider (thread) veins, prominent hand veins, and venous insufficiency. Using advanced ultrasound imaging, we assess for underlying venous reflux and create a personalised treatment plan. Our minimally invasive options include endovenous laser ablation (EVLA), radiofrequency ablation, VenaSeal, sclerotherapy, and phlebectomy, with sclerotherapy commonly used for thread veins and selected hand vein treatments. These procedures are performed on an outpatient basis with minimal downtime, helping to relieve symptoms such as leg pain, swelling, heaviness, and skin changes, while also improving the overall appearance of the legs and hands.

A venous duplex assessment is a key diagnostic tool used to guide tailored treatment for varicose veins. This non-invasive ultrasound combines traditional imaging with Doppler flow analysis to evaluate both the structure of the veins and the direction of blood flow. By identifying reflux (backward flow), vein incompetence, and the precise location of affected segments, clinicians can develop a personalised treatment plan rather than applying a one-size-fits-all approach. The findings from a venous duplex scan help determine the most appropriate intervention—such as endovenous laser therapy, radiofrequency ablation, sclerotherapy, or surgery—ensuring treatment targets the underlying cause of venous insufficiency and improves outcomes while minimising unnecessary procedures.

Planning your treatment

The best results in varicose vein treatment are often achieved through a personalised, multimodal approach that combines different treatment techniques to address the underlying venous disease as well as the visible veins. Depending on the individual patient's needs, this may involve endovenous ablation, micro phlebectomy, ultrasound-guided foam sclerotherapy and microsclerotherapy or other targeted treatments for residual veins.

Assessment and Diagnostics

Your initial visit includes a comprehensive consultation, a physical examination, and a Doppler ultrasound scan — all for a single assessment fee of £250. This allows our specialist to identify the underlying cause of your symptoms and recommend the most effective treatment for you. We believe in full transparency, so there are no hidden charges.

There is no obligation to proceed with treatment after your assessment. We accept most major health insurance providers — please contact us to confirm your cover.

EVLA

Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA) is a modern, minimally invasive treatment for varicose veins recommended by NICE. This walk-in, walk-out procedure uses laser energy to seal the faulty vein that is causing your symptoms, allowing blood to naturally reroute through healthier veins. It is carried out under local anaesthetic, usually takes around an hour, and requires no hospital stay, with most patients returning to normal activities within a day or two. The cost of EVLA is typically a fixed fee per leg and covers the treatment itself, with a follow-up scan usually included. At your consultation, we will provide a clear, personalised quote based on your ultrasound scan results, with no hidden fees

A typically charge per leg is: £2,500–£2,700 for single leg and £3,300–£3,600 for both legs. The charge depends on the extent of the varicose veins and the number of veins being treated by ablation.

Sclerotherapy treatment

Sclerotherapy is a minimally invasive treatment used to reduce the appearance of spider veins, thread veins and certain varicose veins. Microsclerotherapy uses a liquid sclerosing solution injected into small surface veins, while foam sclerotherapy uses a specially prepared foam solution to treat larger veins. Both treatments work by closing the targeted vein, which is then gradually broken down and naturally absorbed by the body. Treatment is relatively quick, with minimal downtime for most patients, although the number of sessions required will depend on the veins being treated.

A consultation is recommended to assess your veins and determine the most appropriate treatment for you, as well as the expected number of sessions required.

Typical costs:
Microsclerotherapy: £300 per session
Foam sclerotherapy: £800 per treatment
